Join us for a variety of cooking and crafts, now available at 2 different times on Tuesdays due to outstanding demand! Please pre-register so staff can plan accordingly.

12/17/24 - Ornament Making
Time: 10:00-11:00am
Location: Oakley Recreation Center (749 Fairview Road)
Age: Open to individuals ages 17+ with disabilities - participants who cannot meet eligibility requirements can attend with a 1:1 worker.
Fees: FREE!

Essential Eligibility Criteria for all programs:
Each participant must:
- Have the ability to follow program rules, communicate with others in a respectful manner, respect personal space of others
- Maintain personal care needs independently or with the assistance of a companion, excluding the program instructors (including administering medication, toileting, and feeding)
- Be able to understand basic communication
- Demonstrate basic social skills (interact with peers)
- Be able to work in a group setting of 12 to 15 people
- Not have a history of violence against themselves or others
The LRT/CTRS is unable to provide one-on-one supervision. Participants that do not fit meet essential eligibility criteria (EEC) may be able to participant in a program if they have their own CAP or one-on-one worker.
(CAP or One-on-One Workers are welcome at these programs at no additional charge). Please call 828-232-4529 about specific questions you may have.
