Enjoy a day of games, crafts, special events and field trips when youth are out of school. Must bring a lunch and drink.

10/8/24 - Eliada Corn Maze field trip (depending on their 2024 operating hours)
11/5/24 - Hands On Museum Greenville, SC meet @ Outdoor Recreation Facility (70 Gashes Creek Road) at 8am
11/27/24 - Oconaluftee Indian Village filed trip
Time: 9:00am-6:00pm
Location: Oakley Recreation Center (749 Fairview Road)
Age: 6-21 (school age) with disabilities. Participants who do not meet our eligibility requirements may attend with a 1:1 worker.
Fees: FREE for OAKS participants, $5 for participants currently not enrolled in TR OAKS Afterschool Program

Each participant must:
- Have the ability to follow program rules, communicate with others in a respectful manner, respect personal space of others
- Maintain personal care needs independently or with the assistance of a companion, excluding the program instructors (including administering medication, toileting, and feeding)
- Be able to understand basic communication
- Demonstrate basic social skills (interact with peers)
- Be able to work in a group setting of 12 to 15 people
- Not have a history of violence against themselves or others
The LRT/CTRS is unable to provide one-on-one supervision. Participants that do not fit meet essential eligibility criteria (EEC) may be able to participant in a program if they have their own CAP or one-on-one worker.
(CAP or One-on-One Workers are welcome at these programs at no additional charge). Please call 828-232-4529 about specific questions you may have.
