Descriptions: Senior Treks is a low-impact hiking club, offering leisurely-paced hikes for adults 50+. Bring lunch, water, good walking shoes and dress for the weather. Layers are recommended as weather can be unpredictable and change with elevation in WNC. Must be in good physical condition to participate; ability to walk 3+ miles on uneven terrain.

This moderate 2.4 mile loop, with a possible 1mile extension, gives a nice tour of this wonderful state park and will take us to multiple waterfalls.

Join us on a late fall outing. We'll hike 3-5 miles exploring WNC. We'll be walking the nature trail with the possibility of visiting High Shoal Falls depending on the groups ability (a series of wooden steps are required to access the falls).
Participants should bring lunch, water and wear good walking shoes and proper clothing for the activity.

Participants must register for each trip individually.

Meet at Recreation Park Office, 72 Gashes Creek Road at 9:30 am. Trips depart at 9:45am.
