River Snorkeling
Fee: $20/Adult. $10/Youth

Times: 12pm - 3:30pm. If you elect to ride in our van, the program will be from 9:45am - 3:30pm
Location: Undisclosed and Super Secret
Ages: 12+ Minors must be accompanied by an adult, but the adult does not have to pay and participate.
Pre-registration is required.

Description: Time for you to see our mountain streams from a new perspective. River Snorkeling is a fast growing hobby that allows you to see a whole world just under the surface of the water. From giant salamanders to florescent fish, it's like swimming in a freshwater aquarium.

* WETSUITS, SOCKS, SNORKELS, and MASKS WILL BE SUPPLIED! Participants should provide shoes that can get wet and securely attach to your feet. We will make sure you're warm enough to enjoy the adventure. Life Jackets can be provided if requested.

* Van transportation from Asheville is provided upon request.

* Participants must be comfortable in moving water and have the ability to walk on uneven and slippery terrain.

*This program is weather dependent and may be rescheduled based on safe water levels in the river.

All participants should meet at our Outdoor Programs building at 9:30am at 70 Gashes Creek Road Asheville, NC 28805. *All youth ages 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The non participating adult must register due to a specific number of van seats. Minimum age is 13. Any participants who elect to drive to the site on their own should be prepared for a up to an hour ride to the snorkel site.

*Each participant will be given a wetsuit and wetsuit socks Water shoes, snorkels, masks, and Life Jackets can also be provided if requested before the program date.

*Participants need to arrive wearing their bathing suit and will need to bring with them a lunch, a filled water bottle, and full change of dry clothes and shoes to change into following the time in the water.

*Classes that do not meet minimum registration numbers are subject to cancellation.

*Class size is limited due to equipment availability
