Senior Treks is a low-impact hiking club, offering leisurely-paced hikes for adults 50+. Bring lunch, water, good walking shoes and dress for the weather. Layers are recommended as weather can be unpredictable and change with elevation in WNC. Must be in good physical condition to participate; ability to walk 3+ miles on uneven terrain. Transportation is provided.

Participants must register for each trip individually. Advance registration is required.
Meets at the Outdoor Recreation Facility at 9:30 am. Trips depart at 9:45am. Van Fee: $5/trip. Online registration closes three days prior to the hike date. This hidden gem of a hike will take us back to the revolutionary war in the almost literal footsteps of the overmountain men exactly where they made their last camp before fighting the British in the Battle of Kings Mountain. We will follow the path of these patriot mountain men on an easy 3 mile loop in the Bradley Nature Preserve in Polk county. A lot shorter than the 330 miles they walked in 1780.

Participants should bring lunch, water and wear good walking shoes and proper clothing for the activity.
