Would you like to go to dinner, or see a movie? Maybe just have a few quiet hours to yourself? Let us handle providing a fun experience for your child for a few hours! We will enjoy an evening filled with fun, seasonally themed activities. Please make staff aware of any dietary restrictions at registration so we can best accommodate your needs.
Dates:
3/8/24 - Chicken alfredo & tournament games
4/19/24 - TV dinners & game shows
5/10/24 - Pizza & laser tag
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Oakley Recreation Center (749 Fairview Road)
Age: 6-21 (school age) with disabilities. Participants who do not meet our eligibility requirements may attend with a 1:1 worker.
Fee: $5 per participant

Essential Eligibility Criteria for all programs:
Each participant must:
- Have the ability to follow program rules, communicate with others in a respectful manner, respect personal space of others
- Maintain personal care needs independently or with the assistance of a companion, excluding the program instructors (including administering medication, toileting, and feeding)
- Be able to understand basic communication
- Demonstrate basic social skills (interact with peers)
- Be able to work in a group setting of 12 to 15 people
- Not have a history of violence against themselves or others
The LRT/CTRS is unable to provide one-on-one supervision. Participants that do not fit meet essential eligibility criteria (EEC) may be able to participant in a program if they have their own CAP or one-on-one worker.
(CAP or One-on-One Workers are welcome at these programs at no additional charge). Please call 828-232-4529 about specific questions you may have.
