(Teens) Therapeutic Recreation Summer Camp Week 1
A weekly recreation program for teens with mild to moderate cognitive or developmental delays who meet eligibility requirements. Daily activities include group games, arts and crafts, nature exploration, special events and field trips. Camp will be held at the Oakley Recreation Center, 749 Fairview Road. For ages 13-18 and/or high school graduation.
June 10-August 9 (no camp June 19th, July 4 & 19)
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Fee: $70/week Non resident
$60/week COA resident
Siblings $10 discount

Essential Eligibility Requirements (EEC):
Each participant must:
- Have the ability to follow program rules, communicate with others in a respectful manner, respect personal space of others
- Maintain personal care needs independently or with the assistance of a companion, excluding the program instructors (including administering medication, toileting, and feeding)
- Be able to understand basic communication
- Demonstrate basic social skills (interact with peers)
- Be able to work in a group setting of 12 to 15 people
- Not have a history of violence against themselves or others
The LRT,CTRS is unable to provide one-on-one supervision. Participants that do not meet EEC may be able to participate if they attend with an aid or worker. Aids/workers are welcome at these programs at no additional charge.
