River Snorkeling is a fast growing hobby that allows you to see a whole world just under the surface of the water. *All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No charge for adults attending who do no wish to get in the water/snorkel but everyone must register in advance to account for limited seating.

*Each participant will be given a wetsuit, wetsuit socks, snorkels & masks. Life Jackets can be provided by request. Participants should provide shoes that can get wet and securely attach to your feet.

*Van transportation is provided from Asheville to the snorkel location.

How to cast a fly with a fly rod is the most important step in learning how to Fly Fish. It's an art and a science and makes this type of fishing so enjoyable once you know how. Come learn from a certified instructor and get your skills honed for the fishing season. All gear will be provided. *This class takes place inside and out so come prepared for the weather.

Fly Fishing 101: Introduction to Fly Fishing

Fly Fishing Skills: Knots and Rigging

To get started Fly Fishing on your own, you need to know how to get your rod ready to catch fish. It's knot the most glamorous part of Fly Fishing but it's the most important skill needed to go out and catch trout on your own. Adult Archery
Thursdays, September 26th - October 3rd from 10:00 - 11:30 AM

This is a two week introductory archery course open to anyone over the age of 18 years old. Archers will learn the basics of archer such as range safety and proper shooting using techniques according to the USA Archery Explore Archery Program. Attending both sessions is important, as we will be building on the skills learned from the first week.

On the Water: Fly Fishing

After taking our Fly Fishing 101 class, it's time to put your skills to the test at the river. For this outing, we will be heading to Dupont State forest to fish the Little River; a great place to learn and grow your confidence in the sport. All fly fishing and wading gear will be provided but participants must have a fishing license to participate.
