Halloween Creepy Climbing

Join us for an evening of fiendish family fun! Come show off your costume, climb for candy, and play ghoulish games. A parent or guardian must be present with their child during the event. Pre-registration is required due to a limited number of spots available to climb during the event.

Little Monkeys

A mix of fun games and activities for your little adventurer who loves to climb and scramble their way around the house. We’ll focus on building your toddler’s motor skills & balance climbing and playing both on and off the Montford Wall. This is a progressive class building new skills weekly.

To provide the best experience for your child, this class may be canceled if it does not meet minimum registration numbers.

Climbing Wall Belay Clinic

On bely? Belay on! Climbing? Climb on!

Are you new to indoor rock climbing or someone who wants a refresher on how to belay? This hour and a half long clinic will go over the basics of knot tying, safety checks, and belaying using the PBUS technique. We encourage you to bring someone to climb with, but it is not a requirement. If you bring your child as a climbing partner to the belay clinic, they must be 8+ years old. Registration is required.

Youth Beginner Climbing
Mondays, December 2nd, 9th and 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Registration Required

A 3 week instructional climbing class for beginners ages 8-12 years old and their guardians. A parent or guardian must attend and be prepared to participate and belay their child. Fee includes climbing gear, instruction, and belay training for parents and guardians. Maximum 10 participants.

Adaptive outdoor adventures is a collaboration between the Therapeutic and Outdoor Recreation programs at Asheville Parks and Recreation. Programs are accessible to anyone who would like to participate: activity specific essential eligibility criteria may be provided. Please call 828-232-4529 for more information.
