Lifestyle choices is a group discussion for 14 to 19 year olds that offers an opportunity for young males to engage in open discussion regarding their behaviors and community involvement. Also to discuss current and future goals, aspirations, decision making, problem solving, among other topics to help grow and develop our future leaders!

This three-day camp is perfect for older campers who like to spend their summer splashing around. Activities vary & may include tubing, snorkeling, paddling, hiking to waterfalls. Campers will take a whitewater rafting trip (Class II-IV).

This two day fly fishing camp will introduce guys and gals to the sport of fly fishing. We’ll learn the techniques of casting, catch and study the insects we try to imitate, and spend time with a guide trying to catch the big one. This program starts at 8am to allow time for fishing before the heat of the day.

If you are new to exercising, need tips on how to maximize your workouts safely, or if you prefer to work out with a group, this program is for you. Workouts will be fun and challenging, with modifications available for different levels. A weekly recreation program for teens with mild to moderate cognitive or developmental delays who meet eligibility requirements. Daily activities include group games, arts and crafts, nature exploration, special events and field trips. Camp will be held at the Oakley Recreation Center, 749 Fairview Road. For ages 13-18 and/or high school graduation.
June 10-August 9 (no camp June 19th, July 4 & 19)

Essential Eligibility Requirements (EEC):

Each participant must:
- Have the ability to follow program rules, communicate with others in a respectful manner, respect personal space of others
- Maintain personal care needs independently or with the assistance of a companion, excluding the program instructors (including administering medication, toileting, and feeding)
- Be able to understand basic communication
- Demonstrate basic social skills (interact with peers)
- Be able to work in a group setting of 12 to 15 people
- Not have a history of violence against themselves or others

The LRT,CTRS is unable to provide one-on-one supervision. Participants that do not meet EEC may be able to participate if they attend with an aid or worker. Aids/workers are welcome at these programs at no additional charge.
